Description
Superb Triumph Model 3H, 350 cc, from 1940, with overhead valves. Modified swingarm with elastic suspension, authorized by Triumph and other manufacturers, recognized by ASI and IMF.
This model deserves a brief historical mention to clarify that after the 3H model the Triumph decides to supply for the war the 3HWs model equipped with the single cylinder overhead valve derived from the 3H civil model, designed at the time by Val Page, to which they are made few variations (elimination of the air filter, application of a protection for the valves in the head and a few other changes). After the war, to avoid the lack of civilian motorcycles, some new 3HWs single-cylinder engines were civilized and sold at the end of the conflict as new motorcycles, although they did not appear in the official catalog of the house.
