For sale are a beautiful pair of early 'widebodied' Weber 40DCOE4 carburettors for an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT or any other 1960's twin cam. They have serial numbers 35172 and 38958.
The carbs have been fully stripped, ultrasonically cleaned and bead blasted. The brass parts have been cleaned and polished and the steel parts, stripped, blasted and zinc plated.
They have been reassembled with new SKF bearings, service kits and fresh grease. They benefit from having new steel shafts and brass butterflies. The circuits have been tested with fluid and compressed air, and the lower fuelways have had their bungs removed and the fuelway cleaned out as these so often become blocked with sediment.
The carburettors have been set up as per the 1966 Weber sheet for a Giulia Sprint GT.

Main air: 220
Emulsion tube: F16
Idle jet: 50F11
Starter: 65F5
Float height: 8.5/15mm
Pump jet: 35
Pump bleed: 50
Needle valve: 150
The butterfly screws have been threadlocked
I have put alot of time and care into rebuilding these carburettors, but they have not been fitted to a car so a certain amount of fine tuning is to be expected.
